ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

We are proud to be a DEMONSTRATION SITE for the DNR sponsored Lakeshore Restoration Project. What does that mean to you? You are welcome to come and check out our wildflower garden, complete with butterflies, bees, toads and frogs at any time.

Much of our shoreline is in it's natural state and vegetation coverage is left intact to the waters edge, this is great for turtle watching or catching. This provides habitat for wildlife and helps reduce lake contamination from run off that might occur. We have a nice, sandy swimming beach for your enjoyment. Check out pictures on our Photo Gallery page.

We use a front load washer to save on water and we hang the sheets outside to dry.

Our goal is to recycle everything; we have containers available for recycling tin cans, glass bottles, aluminum and paper. Our lake vegetation is used as mulch and we plant several new trees every year.

Did you know: There is growing evidence that some chemicals in cleaners are agents that cause asthma or make it worse. We are moving in the direction of using safe, natural cleaning products and safe weed control products for our resort.

NEW LIFE JACKET LAW Effective May 2005:

All children under 10 years of age must wear a life jacket in the boat. We recommend you have your small children try on the jacket BEFORE you arrive, have them wear it around the house to get used to it so when you go boating they will feel comfortable having it on and you will have a pleasant vacation.

Cabin 7 & 8 are side by side identical cabins           relaxing in the wildflower garden
